Ace Palomino is a Latinx drag artist that specializes in performances that emulate Prince. They’ve coined the name Prince in Panties wowing the crowd with punky-funky early 80s Prince impersonation. OWAH! This Artist has made appearances with Rebel Kings Oakland, Royale’s and Sabes Que Collective. They recently performed at the main stage for Oakland Pride SF Pride in front of Bill Graham Auditorium at SF Pride’s HOTTBOXX with Puff Players.

Why Prince?
Ashleigh was conceived to the 1989 Batman album. They chose Prince to channel because his Batman Soundtrack was the music playing when her parents conceived. As a stage name she picked Ace Palomino combining two nicknames given to her .Music by Prince is a catalogue engrained in Ace’s memory as they were raised on his entire assortment of albums. Prince truly made baby makin’ music and Ace was born from gothic paisley.
They were encouraged by a group of friends during the pandemic to start performing drag after serving the right vibes for fun karaoke performances. Ace and Prince align in the horoscope with similarities as well being they are both air sun signs with a water moon. After Ace learned that they were conceived to the Batman album, they planned to perform songs from that album dressed as Joker Gemini Prince. They debuted this tribute at Rebel Kings in Oakland September 2023.
